Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share your personal data when you use Sunscout (the "App") to control our smart robotic lawnmower products.
This policy is designed to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and Apple’s App Store Review Guidelines.

Data Collection
We only collect data that is strictly necessary to maintain device operation and App functionality:
2.1 Device Information (Mobile): We collect your mobile device model, operating system version, and system language settings. This is used solely to optimize the App's user interface layout and compatibility.

2.2 Product Information (Mower): When you bind a device, we collect the Serial Number (SN), MAC address, firmware version, battery health, blade status, and error logs (e.g., "Wheel motor blocked").

2.3 Account Information: We collect your email address and encrypted password to identify device ownership.

2.4 Location Data:
Precise Location: We access your location information only when you grant explicit permission. This is a technical requirement imposed by the iOS/Android operating systems to scan for nearby Bluetooth (BLE) devices and Wi-Fi networks during the pairing process.
Map Data: If your mower model supports RTK path planning, we store boundary coordinates to render the mowing map within the App.

Purpose of Data Processing
We strictly limit the use of data to specific functions:
To Connect Hardware: Bluetooth and Location permissions are requested solely to discover and pair with the robotic lawnmower.
To Remote Control: Your account credentials route your App commands (e.g., Start, Pause, Schedule) through our cloud server to your specific mower.
To Improve Stability: Crash logs (e.g., "App crashed on iOS 17") are used exclusively to fix software bugs. We do not use this data for advertising purposes.
To Ensure Safety: We process device status data to push critical safety alerts to you (e.g., "Mower lifted," "Battery critically low").

Third-Party Sharing & SDKs
We may share data with the following third-party service providers, all of whom are bound by strict data protection agreements:
Cloud Infrastructure: [e.g., Amazon Web Services (AWS) / Alibaba Cloud]
Purpose: Hosting user account databases and device operation logs.
Server Location: [e.g., Frankfurt, Germany for EU users; USA for others].

Data Storage and Security
Encryption: All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2/1.3 protocols. Data at rest on our servers is encrypted using AES-256 standards.
Retention Period: We retain your personal data only as long as your account remains active. Once you delete your account, your personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days (excluding anonymous logs used for hardware quality analysis).

User Rights & Account Deletion
In accordance with applicable laws, you have the following rights:
Access & Correction: You can view or update your profile directly within the App's "Profile" section.
Account Deletion: You have the right to delete your account at any time.
Path: Please go to App Settings > Account Security > Delete Account.
Consequence: This action will permanently delete your login credentials and unbind the device from your account. This action is irreversible.
Withdraw Consent: You can revoke Bluetooth, Location, or Notification permissions in your phone's system settings at any time, though this may disable core features like remote control.

Children’s Privacy
Our Service is not directed to children under the age of 16 (GDPR standard) or 13 (COPPA standard). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy. Significant changes will be notified via an in-app popup or email.
